Configure the QoS Ingress Port-Rate Limiter

Use the QoS ingress port-rate limiter to limit the traffic rate accepted by the specified ingress port. The port drops or re-marks violating traffic.

Note

This procedure applies to VSP 4900 Series only.

Procedure

Enter GigabitEthernet Interface Configuration mode:

enable

configure terminal

interface GigabitEthernet {slot/port[/sub-port][-slot/port[/sub-port]][,...][slot/all][all]}

Note

If the platform supports channelization and the port is channelized, you must also specify the sub-port in the format slot/port/sub-port.
Configure the ingress port-rate limit:

qos if-rate—limiting [port {slot/port[/sub-port][-slot/port[/sub-port]][,...][slot/all][all]}] rate <1000-40000000>
Disable the ingress port-rate limit:

no qos if-rate-limiting [port {slot/port[/sub-port][-slot/port[/sub-port]][,...][slot/all][all]}]

Use the data in the following table to use the qos if-rate-limiting command.


Variable	Value
`1000-40000000`	Specifies the ingress rate limit in Kbps. The range is 1000–40000000.
port `{slot/port[/sub-port][-slot/port[/sub-port]][,...][slot/all][all]}`	Identifies the slot and port in one of the following formats: a single slot and port (slot/port) a range of slots and ports (slot/port-slot/port) a series of slots and ports (slot/port,slot/port,slot/port) all ports on the same slot (slot/all) all ports on the switch (all) If the platform supports channelization and the port is channelized, you must also specify the sub-port in the format slot/port/sub-port.
